RIZU modern Japanese restaurant, located in the heart of Duxton Hill offers French fused Japanese cuisine. Chill out to relaxing jazz in an intimate indoor and al-fresco setting that seats just 30 guests inside and 16 guests outside – perfect for all occasions, small or large.
RIZU is opened by Hisamizu Takahashi, who formerly spent more than a decade in pharmaceuticals deciding to pursue his lifelong passion of running a restaurant that offers an elevated Japanese dining experience. He carefully set up all aspects of the establishment, from running the daily operations to working with chef to curate the food and beverage menu.
On the other hand, The kitchen is helmed by head chef Hiroshi Watanabe from Hokkaido, who has a strong passion for French fused Japanese cuisine. He has worked in Japan and the US including restaurant Kobayashi (Tokyo) and Yoshida restaurant (California), after which he decided to own and operate his restaurant Le Berkley in Shirogane, Tokyo. Furthermore, His passion for food led him to experience farm life in Hokkaido and this brought him great personal enjoyment allowing him to delve deeper into biological farming and its positives. He is a certified sommelier of Japan Sommelier Association.
